THIS PAGE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION. I BASICALLY JUST NEED TO MAKE SOME SMALL UPDATES.
Hello! Welkom! Bonjour! Hola! Kon’nichiwa!
Coming up here and rewriting my About Me page is long overdue. It’s nearly impossible for me to sit down and attempt to explain my website. It’s all over the show and that’s how I like it. But, I will try to explain it anyway. There is two aspects of this website and it all comes down to one thing. My love for writing. The main part of this website is the Blog aspect of it. I write blogs about a wide range of subjects that I break down and attempt to explain on my blog page. The second part of my website is called the Writing Corner. It’s the part of my website where I share the creative part of my writing. It’s my stories. It’s where I share first drafts of my stories in their true raw selves. I explain everything you need to know about the writing corner page.
I’m getting ahead of myself. Let me introduce myself. My name is Cassandra Meaker but you can call me Cassy. Here is a picture of me so you can put a face to a name.
I was born in South Africa but I moved to the Netherlands in 2017 to live with my now husband. We met in 2015 when I came to the Netherlands as an au pair and the rest is history.
Meet Speculoos, our fluffy and chunky ginger cat. Speculoos is a grumpy boy, but he’s our – okay mostly my – grumpy boy. He does his own thing and prefers to be left alone, but he does appreciate a cuddle with Mommy here and there.
Meet Dankie, our silly little boy with a heart of gold. Dankie is a Daddy’s Boy through and through. He is spoiled rotten. He is the biggest goofball and always makes us smile and laugh.
Meet the twins, Suiker and Bekkie. Suiker is the small one and we call her Piggy. She was the runt in the litter so she gets a little aggressive when it comes to food. She also constantly suckles on our blanket. Bekkie is a lone wolf. She just does her own thing and couldn’t be bothered with us humans. Bekkie loves Dankie and you will often see her snuggling up with him. They always separate before I can take a picture though. It’s heartbreaking.
I love to write. I started to escape in the world of writing when I was 13 and I’ve been deeply in love since. It’s my passion. It makes my soul happy. Writing is my therapy. My dream is to be a published author. I want my stories in your local bookstore. I still have a long way to go until I get there but I’m going to enjoy the journey there. This website is a part of the journey. I created this website in hopes to grow my fan base and have a platform to share original work as an eBook. It’s step one of my big dream. It quickly became so much more than that. I love writing blogs and connecting with like minded people all over the world. It makes me so happy to know that I’m making a small difference. That I’m leaving a tiny little stamp in this big world. My life has meaning. My words makes a difference. Aside from my passion for the art of writing; I have a steady relationship with my couch and potatoes is a staple in my life. I also have a growing passion for physical, nutritional and mental health (and everything gluten free). I support carbohydrates and my spirit animal is an unicorn. I’m not even kidding, I’m fabulous. I believe that the best way you can show just how much you love your body is by taking care of it. That means getting active, eating your greens and concentrating on your mental health. If eating ice cream once a week keeps you from murdering someone, well then I highly recommend a steady supply of ice cream in your household.
That’s about everything I can say. Okay, I lied. I’m twenty three and I like white chocolate and anime (and manga). I guess I can add that but all jokes aside; thank you for supporting me. If you’re reading this page it means you’ve explored my website and you’re interested. I know I’m such a small site in this crazy internet world and I’m so grateful that you gave me a chance.
I wish you all the best and I will see you in a click!
